There have always been well known gamblers. They like to gamble and the like to gamble with big money. We’re pretty sure most of them would approve of mobile gambling, mobile casinos and mobile phone bingo.

Throughout our history we can recall gamblers like John Montagu “The Earl of Sandwich”. He was famous for playing poker, and is credited with inventing the sandwich, by asking a servant to place meat between two pieces of bread so he could continue his poker game and eat at the same time.

Famous old west gamblers include Doc Holliday, who was known for drinking, fighting, and gambling. Legendary Wild Bill Hickok was said to have died from a gunshot wound to the back of his head, while holding in his hand two pair of Aces and eights, to this day those cards are known as the dead mans hand.

Jessie James was also a poker lover, and would participate in a game even though he was being hunted by lawmen.

Moving forward to more modern days Howard Hughes was said to make gambling a respectable sport. Benny Binion opened a casino in Las Vegas which is still in operation, Binions Horseshoe.

Gamblers today have a large variety of games to choose from, however some are still making history. Phil Hellmuth is the youngest person to win the Time World Series of Poker at the age of twenty four.

There is a fountain of opportunity available for today’s gamblers to become world famous.
